Memories, Part 1

So first and foremost - thank you to everyone who came out and saw us over these past couple of months! There was some amazing memories made out there, wherever 'there' may be, and we are going to cement some of them here in our blog over the next couple of weeks.

New York, New York. Our first night there, we played the Cutting Room, and pretty much rocked its face - so you can now call it the Cut Room. It was the best we've played in New York, and it was our biggest crowd. That was a nice mental massage for us all.

We had the next day off to explore the city. The highlight was going to see Lonnie's mom perform. She is an amazing Cabaret singer, and we can't thank her enough for getting us all in to her sold out show. Her drummer (currently on Broadway, as well as her bass player) was kind enough to offer Dusty a seat in the pit to watch the orchestra perform for 'The Little Mermaid.' Unfortunately, we had another show...sorry Dusty.

This is where we almost had our faces rocked. Sandwiched between an Irish Goth band and a Techno Goth band, was Milhouse. Most of our New York crew came to our first show at the Cutting Room. Not as many for here. Before we began, we overheard the female singer dedicate a song to her father. The song proceeded to have some clever, yet very descriptive sexual acts throughout. I was nervous because no one in the audience seemed phased by this. As we took the stage, all I could see was spiked black hair, lots of facial piercings, and maybe five Milhouse fans. I remember my hand shaking when I started playing. But after each song, they cheered just as loud as our crowd the night before. It was so bizarre, but kind of awesome.

North Carolina and Virginia this week w/ The Clarks, come see us!!!
